Standard & Free Delivery
Standard delivery typically takes 7 working days, though
this may increase during peak periods like Christmas. Free delivery applies to UK
mainland addresses only (excluding Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man). For
orders outside this region, we will contact you with a custom shipping quote
based on the most cost-effective method available. Please note that large or
heavy multi-item orders may occasionally incur additional charges regardless of
standard free delivery offers.
Free Next Working Day Delivery
Eligible items are marked with a 'Next Day Delivery' banner.
To qualify, orders must be placed before 3pm Monday–Thursday. Orders placed
after 3pm on Friday or over the weekend will be dispatched on Monday. While we
maintain a 99.9% success rate, this is not a guaranteed service, and we cannot
be held liable for external delays like courier breakdowns or material
shortages.
Manufacturing & Lead Times
For "Made to Order" or lighting products, next-day delivery applies once the manufacturing process is complete. All items in a
single order are dispatched together once the final product is ready. Because
of the bespoke nature of our production, delivery dates may fluctuate; however,
we will notify you of any changes well in advance.
Pallet Deliveries
Pallet deliveries are strictly kerbside only, though drivers
may assist further at their discretion. Customers are responsible for the
disposal of all pallets and packaging. As this is an uninsured service, we
strongly recommend taking out private insurance for peace of mind. Any claims
for loss or damage must be raised directly with the courier, and the customer
must be present to accept the shipment.
International Shipping
We do not ship internationally directly, but we welcome
collections by your own courier or delivery to a UK-based freight forwarder.
Once collected or delivered to your forwarder, English Lamp Posts is no longer
responsible for the goods, and we cannot accept returns or refunds for transit
damage. Customers are responsible for all local duties, customs, and import
legislation compliance.
Returns
If your product is unsuitable, you may return it within 14 days provided it is unused and in its original, unbroken packaging. Customers are responsible for all return carriage costs and arrangements. Please note that a minimum 25% restocking fee applies to all returns, and the original delivery cost is non-refundable. If items arrive damaged, repair costs will be deducted from your final refund.
Bespoke Items
Refunds or returns are not accepted for bespoke or "Made to Order" products.
Installed Products & Liability
Once a product has been installed, we are not responsible for any deinstallation costs. If you are dissatisfied with an installed item, you must contact us to discuss your concerns before attempting a return. We do not accept responsibility for items lost in transit or damaged by customer-appointed couriers.
Pallet Returns
For palletised items, please retain all original packaging. Returns must be repackaged using the original pallet where possible. If the packaging is not retained, any additional courier fees incurred to secure the shipment will be deducted from your refund.
Damaged or Faulty Products
For potentially faulty goods, the buyer must return the item for inspection. If an inherent fault is confirmed, we will refund the product cost and return postage in full within 5 working days. Damages must be reported via email within 48 hours of receipt.

Refund Processing
Once your return has been processed by our customer service team, refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5-7 business days of receiving the returned item.
The 10-year guarantee covers the structural integrity of the lamp post only and excludes lanterns, paintwork, and cosmetic finishes. To preserve the post, regular maintenance and painting must be performed in accordance with our recommendations.
Please note: that this guarantee applies exclusively to full-price lamp posts; it does not cover discounted, trade, or commercial orders. Damage resulting from incorrect installation, accidents, or environmental events. Such as floods, storms, or earthquakes.
