A Tour of Paradise

When work began on the set of the BBC’s The Paradise, every detail needed to be authentically designed and in keeping with the 1870’s era. 

After much deliberation and research, the design team selected our Victorian lamp post and wall lanterns. They were chosen not only for their period style but also for the original detailing, including the elevated spinnings to the ornate corner motifs.

The streets of The Paradise were lined with our 3.7 meter atmospheric lighting which became the backdrop for the lives, loves and dramas of the intoxicating tale of England’s first department store. 

Every element of the lamps from the elegant wall brackets to the beautiful black powder coated finish, blended seamlessly into the set, offering the perfect finishing touch. The lanterns were fitted with frosted glass and warm white bulbs to discretely conceal the use of modern electrics as opposed to the periods original gas lamps.
